Mulberry Projects has spearheaded a series of collaborations and cultural projects with multifaceted objectives:
- Supporting local artists through the initiation of professional training programs, interdisciplinary workshops, call-to-artists initiatives, and their involvement in interdisciplinary productions such as Femme expérimentale.
- Producing and distributing shows created by Romanian choreographers and artists, including Femme monumentale, Femme végétale, and NOIEMBRIE PERFORMATIV.
- Hosting site-specific events like Afis Performativ @Reduta Brasov and Mulberry Projects x Noaptea Muzeelor Brasov 2023.
- Cultivating audiences in culturally underrepresented areas, exemplified by projects like Biosfera în miscare in Rasnov.
- Innovating specialized communication models for cultural projects, as seen in initiatives like No reason to dance? – poetici ale apropierii, Inhabited, and SIMBIOZE, among others.
Each initiative or production project has entailed a period of research and documentation, coupled with an educational component and active audience engagement. This has involved artistic laboratories, workshops for the general public, street interventions, and interdisciplinary conferences.
Over time, we have implemented activities from projects funded by sources such as the Ministry of Culture, AFCN, ArCub, CNDB, Centrul de Proiecte Timisoara, the Municipality of Brasov, as well as private sponsorships.
Starting in 2022, we have taken on the mission of developing artistic projects that incorporate an ecological discourse, thereby contributing to raising public awareness regarding environmental concerns.
In the last two years, we have begun facilitating activities for inclusion and cultural accessibility for disadvantaged groups, endeavors we aim to continue through our future projects.
